
Gabrielle P. Jenkins is a chronic disease epidemiologist with over a decade of experience in epidemiologic and public health research. Her research focuses broadly on cardiometabolic diseases, physical activity, and sedentary behaviors in adult and youth populations. Her specific interests include, cardiometabolic diseases over the life course, prevention of cardio-metabolic diseases through physical activity and reduction of sedentary behaviors, metabolic phenotypes, patterns of physical activity and sedentary behaviors. Gabrielle is a PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology at The Gillings Global School of Public Health at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her dissertation examines longitudinal and isotemporal associations of time spent in physical activity and sedentary behavior on adiposity in early childhood.
