I am an early career vascular surgeon at Stanford University and the Palo Alto VA. I spend part of my time operating and taking care of patients with all manner of vascular diseases such as peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms and carotid disease. I spend the rest running a research lab with the goal of improving care for vascular patients. Specifically we are utilizing machine learning and big data to identify unique risk factors, develop automated diagnosis methods, and improve patient understanding and engagement with their health.
