Dre’Von Dobson

Hey everyone! My name is Dre’ and I’m a 3rd year graduate student in the Pathobiology and Translational Science PhD program at UNC Chapel Hill. I work in the Blood Research Center in the Wolberg lab (@aswolberg) and I study genes that regulate fibrinogen expression. Hemostasis and thrombosis research touches a lot of diseases, and many of those diseases are health disparities that disproportionately affect the black community. I ultimately hope to research ways to find better and more affordable treatments to help our communities! When I’m not in the lab, I’m playing music (if you’re in the research triangle area and need a saxophonist or music entertainment, let me know!).
